Tent Revival September 2009

Revival services started on Thursday, September 10 under a large tent in downtown Greenfield and continued through Sunday, September 20 with various speakers.

God met with us nightly.  Evangelist Tim Marshall of Holly Springs, MS was with us on Thursday and Saturday.  His ministry was effective through the gifts of the Spirit with several healings and a strong move of the Holy Ghost.

Evangelist Tim Chandler ministered between those services on Friday with an anointed message from the Word of God and we were blessed with visiting guest ministers from around the area.

Sunday services were anointed as Pastor Wendell Jellison taught during the AM servive and Bro. Daniel Grisham, pastor of the First UPC of McKenzie preached Sunday night.

The crowds increased nightly and there were more chairs moved into the tent before the Monday service.

Several folks were ministered to while sitting in their cars and others have told of listening to the services on their porches of their homes in the community.

Missionary Ken Cantrell of Kansas City, MO was the guest speaker on Monday and Tuesday nights with an outstanding move of the Holy Ghost as a least 3 people received their own Pentecostal experience!

Pastor Marty Johnson of the First UPC of Camden was the guest speaker for Thursday night and we had several visitors and a great camp meeting service!

Friday night was designated as a youth service with Bro. Shine Doughty of Mattoon, IL as the guest speaker.  "The tent was full with at least 8 different churches represented and a great altar service as Bro. Doughty blessed us with an anointed message.

A deliverance service was scheduled for Saturday night and Missionary Ken Cantrell and his wife returned for a powerful service.

Pastor Jellison ministered on Sunday morning while evangelist Tim Chandler concluded the revival Sunday night with a powerful message.  Every service was specially anointed and only eternity will tell the whole story.

There were at least 10 filled or re-filled with the Holy Ghost and at least 5 difinite miraculous healings.

During the full week of tent revival services, there was a tropical rain over this part of the country.  This resulted in torrential rain causing flooding across NW Tennessee and surrounding areas.  Rain was everywhere...except in Greenfield!

God granted us an incredible miracle of NO RAIN during our revival.  There were a couple of very light showers during this period that created a few puddles...but, that's all!  There was rain all around  us.  Some testified that they left their homes in a downpour but when they came into Greenfield the streets were dry!  No rain in Greenfield!

When the revival closed on Sunday, Sept. 20, the rain started on Monday and continued for 5 days during which we had to leave the tent up as it was too wet to take down and pack in the casing for the trip back to Nashville.  So, the tent stayed up another week until the rain finally stopped...all after the revival!

Some of our town's people noticed this miracle.  A bank teller commented about the "circle" around Greenfield on the weather radar during the weather forecasts and how she noticed that it didn't rain in Greenfield during the Pentecostal's tent meeting!  We give God the praise!  This was truly a sign from God to the community.
